DPI changes print-density metadata, not the number of pixels or image detail. The output is re-encoded as PNG or JPG.
About Change Image DPI Metadata
Set a print-density value for a PNG or JPEG workflow. DPI metadata describes how existing pixels map to a printed size. Changing it does not increase pixel dimensions, improve image detail or guarantee a printer will use the specified density.

What to know about Change Image DPI Metadata.
Does changing DPI make an image higher resolution?
No. The number of pixels stays the same. DPI metadata changes the intended printed density and does not add detail or upscale the picture.
Are my files uploaded for processing?
No. File contents are processed in your browser. The site, codecs and any required models still need to load over the network; local results depend on your device and browser.
